One of Europe’s major projects, commissioned by the EU as part of the TEN-T rail network, is moving into a new phase with the award of the tenders for the tunnel at the base of Mont Cenis.
This is the missing link in the Mediterranean Corridor, which connects the continent from Spain to Hungary, crossing regions representing 17% of the EU’s GDP. A green infrastructure for the future of the areas.
Iveta Radicová, European Coordinator for the TEN-T Mediterranean Corridor, Hubert du Mesnil, TELT President, and Mario Virano, TELT Director General, announce the awarding of tenders for the work on the French side of the base tunnel.
