TELT is once again a partner of the Healthy Workplaces campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) for the new three-year campaign.
The common goal is to raise awareness in all European workplaces with a clear message: “Safety and health at work is everyone’s concern. It’s good for you. It’s good for business.” That is why networking is essential, through a collaboration between employers and workers and the exchange of good practices between companies from different sectors leading to a greater dissemination and awareness of occupational safety tools for the benefit of all. Partners include trade unions, employers’ organisations, occupational health and safety professionals, civil society organisations and private companies, all representing a wide range of business sectors and occupations.
The Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2020-22. Lighten the load! is dedicated to work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Across Europe, millions of workers are affected by work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). According to data from the Sixth European Working Conditions Survey, approximately three in every five workers in the European Union suffer from such disorders. Sixty per cent of those with work-related health problems cite MSDs as the most serious problem.
EU-OSHA’s mission is to make workplaces safer, healthier and more productive, to the benefit of businesses, workers and governments. The Agency promotes a culture of risk prevention to improve working conditions in Europe.
TELT is participating in the campaign as part of the Sustainable Development Strategy, which puts worker safety and health at the top of its agenda. The dissemination of culture and training on these issues is one of the key components of TELT’s programme to empower all levels of the organisation.
